Opening: Systems Design Engineer
Xcelerated Prototyping Inc. is looking for a Systems Design Engineer to begin in April or May of 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for modeling and simulation of complex systems within the scope of customer projects using the software SimulationX. They will also be responsible for providing engineering support to existing customers and participating in the acquisition of new customers using their technical expertise.

Position Description
Join our dynamic team as a Systems Design Engineer with a specialization in SimulationX! In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality engineering services to our valued customers. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around system modeling using the SimulationX software, supporting customers with modeling queries, and actively contributing to the sales process through engaging demonstrations and the development of sample models. This position can be within a hybrid work environment, with the option for office-based work in Waterloo, ON, or the flexibility to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out system modeling projects using SimulationX to meet customer requirements.

Provide exceptional engineering service to customers, ensuring the successful implementation of their projects.

Offer expert modeling support to SimulationX users, addressing queries and providing valuable insights.

Collaborate with the sales team by delivering compelling software demonstrations and crafting sample models to showcase the capabilities of SimulationX.
Qualifications

Strong experience in systems modeling, ideally with experience directly in SimulationX. Experience in other system modeling softwares (Dymola, SimScape, Simulink, OpenModelica, AmeSim, MapleSim) is also valued.

Engineering degree (Bachelor of Applied Science or similar) from a recognized institution.

Proficiency in English with excellent communication and presentation skills; proficiency in Spanish is a bonus.

Proven ability to engage in the sales process, delivering impactful demonstrations and building compelling sample models.

Experience with video editing and marketing is an asset.

Experience with other types of simulation and engineering software is an asset (CFD, FEM, CAD, etc.)

Experience with software development or other coding is an asset (C#, python, MATLAB, etc.)
